Donald Lee Davis, Sr., 75, of Poinciana, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Born in Switzer, West Virginia on August 31, 1947, he was the son of the late William Davis, Jr. and Emma Lee (Runyon) Davis.
Don proudly served our country during the Vietnam War Era in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was employed as an auditor with the Chrysler Corporation in Newark, having retired after 39 years of dedicated service. He also owned and operated an automotive vinyl roof business in Newport for nearly 10 years. Don served as a coach and manager with the Newark National Little League from 1978 through the mid 1990s.
Don is survived by his wife of 17 years, Brenda J. (Heacock) Davis; his children, Carol Ann Davis, Donald Davis, Jr. (Annie), Michael Davis, Ricky Davis and Kyley Herron (John); his step son, Jared Kolb; his grandchildren, Aaron, Brian, Dianna, Kyler, Marshall, Tanner, Trey, Colin and Autumn; his brother, Billy Davis (Franny); his sister, Pamela Davis.
He was predeceased by his step daughter, Denise Straub.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Wednesday, November 30 from 10:00 – 11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, immediately followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
