Dolores Rajevich, 81, of Wilmington, Delaware peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Born in Wilmington on April 16, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lena (Messina) Rajevich.
Dolores expressed her love most beautifully through food. A talented and passionate cook, she found joy in preparing meals for the people she loved, especially her beloved pasta dishes and desserts. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, conversation, and togetherness, where no one ever left hungry for food or for love. Family meant everything to Dolores. She treasured the holidays and worked tirelessly to bring everyone together. Her son was the center of her world. Dolores’s devotion to him was unwavering, and her pride in her family was evident in everything she did. Dolores had a zest for life and many passions.
She adored horses and race tracks and eagerly looked forward to the Kentucky Derby each year. She also enjoyed watching game shows, playing board games, and solving word puzzles, always keeping her sharp mind active.
She is survived by her loving son, Jeffrey Williams; her cherished grandchildren, Derian Williams and his wife Lucia, Tawny Williams, and Evan Williams; her sisters, Marlene Harrington, Sandra Chopack, and Elaine Dobie; her brother, Joseph Rajevich; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were blessed to know her love. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jamie Harrington and her brother-in-law, James Harrington.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek, on Friday, February 20, from 12:00–1:00 PM. A Catholic funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM.
