Danilo Noveno Nantes

Danilo Noveno Nantes, 69, of Wilmington, Delaware peacefully passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.  

Danilo was born in Camalig Albay, Philippines on October 9, 1956, son of the late Alejandro and Aurora (Noveno) Nantes.  He served as a police officer in his home town and emigrated to the United States in 1993, first settling in New York, and relocating to Pennsylvania in 1996.  At this time, Danilo became employed with Walgreens until his retirement in 2010.  In 2014, he and his family made Delaware their home.

Danilo was an avid gardener and was proud to have cultivated a variety of vegetables.  He enjoyed cooking, fishing and keeping his cars in good running condition.

Danilo is survived by his wife of 32 years, Juana (Del Valle) Nantes; his daughter, Danielle Nantes; and several family members residing in the Philippines.

Friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, January 23, from 1:30 – 2:00PM, immediately followed by a Catholic funeral service.
