Cynthia "Cindy" M. (Greist) Lewis

Cynthia “Cindy” Lewis, age 64, of Bear, Delaware was called home to her Lord surrounded by her family on November 7, 2021.

Cindy was born in Orange, NJ in 1956. She graduated from Dickinson High School class of 1974. Cindy later went on to pursue an Associate’s degree in business from Goldey Beacom College.

Cindy is survived by her children, Jason Lewis (Hollie) and Jennifer Evans (Rob) and her grandchildren, Brooks Evans, Isabella Evans, Katie Rowles, and Christopher Lewis. She is also survived by her sister, Allison Douglas.

Cindy dedicated her early years to raising her two children and continued to be a wonderful mother and active grandmother to her 4 grandchildren. After raising her family, Cindy found a fulfilling career, and an incredible work family, with APL Logistics where she was a financial analyst.

She found great joy spending time with her family and her friends. Her happy place was at the beach and she spent many happy vacations in Cape May with her family. When she wasn’t at the beach, you could find her dining out with her many friends.

Family and friends may visit beginning at 1 PM on Friday, November 19 at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808, where a Celebration of Cindy’s Life will begin at 3 PM. Interment will be private.

The family would like to send a thank you to the staff at Home Instead homecare agency and Delaware Hospice for their kindness and support.
