Constance Stellini, age 87, of Wilmington and Bethany Beach, DE passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 following a courageous battle with numerous medical challenges.
Connie was born in Wilmington, DE. She dedicated her life to raising her children, supporting the family business, Info Systems, and working as a medical assistant. Connie always knew what she wanted and was persistent in achieving her goals. She expected a lot of all the people she loved and gave even more in return. The joy in her life was being surrounded by her family especially in the Bethany Beach home designed and built by Connie and, the love of her life, Jay where they enjoyed magnificent sunsets and views of the bay. She enjoyed keeping her mind sharp as an avid cruciverbalist and multi-genre reader. Her dearest friends supported her and brought her happiness throughout her life. Connie will be very much missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Mark Stellini (Mimi), Jennifer McKenzie (Jack) and Judith Free (Jonathan); her grandchildren, Rachel (Jenn), Stephen (Matt), Gina, Megan (Mel), and Julia (Dominic); as well as much loved step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that will all miss her beyond measure. Connie now joins her husband, Emidio F. Stellini Jr “Jay”; and youngest son, Vincent, in heaven. She was predeceased, only five days prior, by her beloved sister, Jean Cozzillio. They will be greeted by their parents, Matilda and James Ficca; and their brother, James. They will all be reunited at the family dinner table.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont Street, Wilmington, DE 19805, where family and friends may visit from 9:00am – 10:45am. Interment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery.
