It is with profound sadness that the family of Charles Cassidy, Jr. announce his untimely passing on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the age of 43.
Chuck was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. A 1997 graduate of St. Mark's High School, he went on to receive both a Bachelors and Masters in Business. He used these degrees to work his way through retail management, including jobs at Walgreens and Wawa. He finally landed as a VP at WSFS, where he truly found his home.
Chuck was an avid history buff and sports fan. He was a loyal Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Twins, and Fightin' Irish supporter. He would argue any fact, whether he was right or not (if you know, you know). And he had an array of the greatest sayings that he would randomly toss out: "Simmer down", "Jesus Saves" and "Living the dream" to name a few. Most notable, Chuck would be your biggest cheerleader and drop everything to help anyone who needed it. His silly smirk and daily presence will be deeply missed.
Chuck will be lovingly remembered by so many and is survived by his fiancée, Jocelyn Mascara; children: Hope (Jack), Charles, Cadence, Tyler and Tenley; mother, Susan; sister, Stephanie; doghter, Luna; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Chuck was predeceased by his father, Charles Cassidy, Sr.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, December 1 from 4:00 – 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church, Cedar and Clayton Streets, Wilmington on Friday, December 2 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
A scholarship fund for Chuck’s children has been generously established in his name through WSFS Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles Cassidy,Jr. Memorial Fund at any WSFS location.
