Catherine Hutton Obituary
Catherine “Karen” Dougherty Hutton, age 85 of Wilmington, Delaware died on Monday November 22, 2021 at Home. She was the daughter of the late Pat and Joseph B. Dougherty Jr.
She graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in 1953 and Goldey Beacom School of Business in 1955. She worked at the DuPont Company and retired from the University of Delaware in 1993 after eleven years of service.
Wife of Willard “Bill” for 65 years; mother of daughter Linda and her husband George Skelly of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law Lisa Hutton of Newburgh, Indiana.
Loving Nana to Alexandra & Patrick Skelly and Jennifer Hutton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Gary Hutton and her brother Joseph B. Dougherty III.
The family will accept friends and guests on Wednesday December 1st, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Doherty Funeral Home located at 3200 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Catherine’s late son Gary’s memory to the Glioblastoma Foundation.
