Carole L. (Johnson) Hutchison

Carole Hutchison, 79, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.

Carole resided with her beloved sister, Janet DeLuca, who was her constant companion and devoted caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Florence Johnson; and her cherished son, Jeff Galvin; and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.

She is survived by her two children, Kenneth Galvin and Andrea Driscoll; her sister, Janet DeLuca; as well as many other loving family members including grandchildren, and a great grandchild. Carole adored her family and found immense joy in every shared moment, especially those filled with laughter.

Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Carole loved making others smile. She had a deep affection for animals and found peace and happiness among plants and flowers, which she lovingly nurtured.

A grateful organ donor recipient, Carole treasured every extra moment life gave her and used that time to brighten the lives of those around her.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be held in Silverbrook Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.

Her warmth, wit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
