Bruce Parks Obituary

Bruce R. Parks, 58, of Hockessin, Delaware peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.  He was born in Liberty, New York on January 26, 1963.

Bruce was employed as a flooring technician with Lang Carpet for more than 25 years, and most recently enjoyed his employment with Creative Floors, Inc.  He was very mechanically inclined and was a talented carpenter.  An avid outdoorsman, Bruce enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.  He was a past member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and participated in many church activities including Habitat for Humanity, putting his tools and skills to work, to help make a difference. Bruce was an avid NASCAR fan and was always in attendance at his children's sporting events.

His father, Robert Parks, passed away in 2020.

Bruce will be dearly missed by his wife of 32 years, Nancy (Lang) Parks; his daughters, Shelly Parks Conrad and husband Zachary, and Katherine Parks; his mother, Marilyn (Skinner) Parks; his brothers, James Parks and wife, Sheila and Michael Parks.  He is also survived by his in-laws, Thomas Lang and wife, Mary Jane, Susan Baddorf and husband, Mark; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Monday, May 24 from 10:00-11:00AM, with funeral services immediately following.  Interment will be held privately in New York.
