Bruce Baum Obituary

Bruce J. Baum, 85, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Friday, February 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to his family. He was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania on October 27, 1940 to the late Bertram O. Baum and Anna (Kotch) Baum, who instilled in him the values of humility, kindness, and hard work that defined his life.

Bruce was a graduate of Ridley High School and honorably served our country in the United States Army. He was employed as a foreman with Concord Masonry, having retired after more than 40 years of dedicated service. Bruce was a faithful member of St. John the Beloved Church.

Bruce was a down-to-earth and humble man with a great sense of humor. He had a natural way of making people feel comfortable, and anyone who met him couldn't help but like him. His warmth, wit, and genuine nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Bruce shared a beautiful marriage of 61 years with his beloved wife, Mina V. (Stevens) Baum. Their life together was rooted in love, partnership, and family, and their bond was a true example of enduring devotion.

Above all else, Bruce was a family man. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.  He is survived by his three children, Cheryl Hinderhofer (Rick), Bruce Baum (Dina), and James Baum (Teresa), and his seven grandchildren, Andrew (Jenna), Patrick, and Gregory Baum, Brittany and Brandon Hinderhofer, Juliana and Vivian Baum, and great granddaughter, Lexi Baum. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he absolutely adored every moment spent with them.

Bruce is also survived by his two brothers, Lee (Loretta) and Drew (Loretta) Baum, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.

Bruce's life was marked by love, laughter, and deep family ties. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a man whose kindness and humor touched everyone around him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
