Brian D. McCloskey, age 58, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late George and Barbara (Grabowski) McCloskey.
Brian was a graduate of Interboro High School, where he excelled in soccer and track. After graduating in 1980, he enlisted with US Navy, served on the USS Ranger and was honorably discharged in 1986. He then attended Widener University to obtain his Bachelor’s degree. He met the love of his life, Helenann (Kuzmack), and the two were married in 1989. After starting their family and beginning his career as a manager and director of safety in the energy industry, he managed to find time to go back to school to earn his Master’s degree from St. Joseph’s University.
The sacrifices of time and the exertion of effort were all in the name of supporting his family, because to Brian, they were everything. He was heavily involved in the lives of his children, whether with school and sporting events, down to the daily happenings in their lives, he was always there. Brian especially cherished the family’s special trips to Lake Wallenpaupack. The memories made there will never be forgotten.
In addition to his beloved wife, Helenann, Brian is survived by his children, Shane, Brenna and Jocelyn; his 5 siblings; several nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Bolt and Skye.
