Bonnie L. Kirkpatrick

It is with much sadness, we share that Dr. Bonnie Kirkpatrick, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 after a tragic battle with cancer.

Bonnie was born on December 11, 1962. After much success as an elementary school teacher, Bonnie spent over 23 years devoted to Wilmington University and served as Assistant Vice President of Student Enrollment and Financial Services. 

When she wasn’t working, Bonnie loved taking her dog, Zeus, on long walks, being with friends, spending time at the beach, and being a grandmother. 

She is survived by her mother, her son, Kirk, his wife, Madisen, and their two daughters, Elliot and Maeve. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Studio on Market, 219 N. Market Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801 on Wednesday, July 9 from 1:00 – 4:00PM.
