Barbara A. (Haney) Price

Barbara Ann Price (Haney) of Newark, was born on September 21, 1948 and passed away on June 16, 2025 after a long illness.  Barbara retired from Acme Markets in 2010. She enjoyed reading, dinner with the “Cracker Barrel” girls and a good margarita. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Haney Sr.; mother, Anna Haney (Destaffany); brother, Leonard Haney Jr.; sister-in-law, Jean Haney; her cat, Elvis; and her daughter, Christa Marie Price, who was the one true love of her life. 

She is survived by her sister, Mary Claire Cahall (Blake); niece, Donna Loller (David); nephews, Leonard Haney III, Timothy Gregg and Jonathan Gregg; great nieces, Alexandria Murphy (Brad), Emily Anderson and Lacee Gregg; and great nephews, John Haney and Lorenzo Gregg.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Monday, June 30th, 2025, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery.
