Barbara Jean (Giordano) Hill

Barbara Jean (Giordano) Hill, age 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2023.

She was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Chlepciak) Giordano; was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and Goldey-Beacom College; and in addition to raising her family, she worked as a legal secretary for Connolly, Bove, Lodge & Hutz.

Barbara was a talented artist; a fan of the Phillies and NASCAR; and she loved hosting family and friends and treating them to her delicious homemade raviolis.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her son, Tyler (Kerri); her grandsons, Tyler and Jordan; her siblings, Matthew Giordano, and Mary Ann Setting (James); as well as several nieces, nephews and members of her extended family.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sons, Darrin and TJ; and her siblings, Vincent “Butch”; and Geraldine Riley.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be held in All Saints Cemetery.
