Ashle Wilson Bailey Obituary

Ashle Wilson Bailey passed away in a tragic accident on Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Stone Harbor, NJ. She was a dual resident of Wilmington, DE and Stone Harbor, NJ.

Ashle was born in Wilmington, DE in December 1970 to Carol Dellose Wilson and Robert J. Wilson. She was a St. Mark’s High School and University of Delaware graduate. She joined her mom in launching Team Wilson. She loved her team every day of her 28-year career and was tirelessly devoted to her clients. Ashle and her team were continually recognized in the industry as one of the top performers, surpassing all expectations and earning one of the finest reputations in their field.

In 2003, Ashle married Robert “Scott” Bailey at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and started a family with his two girls, Amanda and Lauren. Wilson and Rhett completed the family in 2004 and 2007, respectively, with family pets Riley, Grey, Stella, Bubba, and her precious lamby Lola. Over the past 18 years of marriage, Ashle has adored being a wife and mother. She prided herself on being a “St. Ann’s mom” for nearly 19 years and made sure she was at every swim meet, basketball game, chess match, triathlon, karate belt ceremony, and holiday concert.

Ashle was the most vibrant and joyous person. She cared about every single person who walked through the door, and she has touched so many lives so deeply. She was equally ready to dress up and go out to dinner with her family as she was to propose ordering pizza to the beach for the whole block. She loved traveling and was always ready for a new adventure, whether annual shopping in New York City with her mom and cousins for the holidays, spring break beach vacations with her girlfriends and children, or tropical destination getaways with her entire family. Despite loving her job, she always made sure to unplug and enjoy the moment with her husband and children. She loved nothing more than sitting on the beach and was already hard at work planning the annual block party for her 87th street family.

Ashle had a kind heart and turned every day into a party. She celebrated her birthday all month long in December, bringing together her family and close knit group of Wilmington friends. Despite her children and husband having birthdays very close together, Ashle made every birthday personalized and special. While she loved hunting down people’s favorite desserts from around town, her homemade ice cream cake was without fail the standout favorite with the kids.

Ashle is survived by her husband, Scott Bailey; daughters, Amanda and Lauren Bailey (23 and 21); sons, Wilson and Rhett Bailey (16 and 13); mother, Carol Wilson; and brother, Jamie Wilson; aunts, Evelyn Freeman and Eva Lessig. She is predeceased by her father, Robert Wilson. She is loved by so many cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and friends. She will forever be in our hearts.

The family will receive visitors at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 9th and DuPont Streets, Wilmington, DE on Monday, July 26 from 9:30-11:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM, with a reception to follow.

Entombment will be held privately for the immediate family in Cathedral Cemetery.
