Anthony Kosloski, Jr. Obituary

Anthony (Tony) Kosloski, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2022 surrounded by his loving wife, Nancy (Beisel), and children, Anthony III and Tammy (Feil).

Tony was born in Wilkes Barre PA to the late Helen Kosloski (Kowalchik) and Anthony Kosloski, Sr. They lived in Edwardsville, PA before moving to Hanover Township, PA when they purchased and opened the Parkway Restaurant on San Souci Hwy.

Tony attended Hanover High School and Bloomsburg University. He left Bloomsurg before completing his degree when his father became ill and Tony came home to help his mother tend to the restaurant.

Tony and family lived in Kingston, PA for 27 years before building their dream home at Harveys Lake in 1992.

Tony was a Claims Manager for a variety of insurance companies throughout his career managing property and auto claims and was a bartender and part owner/manager of the Parkway Restaurant.

Tony enjoyed many activities throughout his life. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State football fan and had season tickets for the Eagles and attended Penn State games with their good friends Paul and Clare Kopicki for many years. He continued to cheer for his teams through good seasons and bad.

Tony loved jazz music and attended concerts and jazz clubs in New York City and other areas. He had an impressive collection of jazz albums.

Tony was a water lover. As a teenager, he was a lifeguard at Harveys Lake, PA and water safety instructor for the YMCA in Wilkes Barre. He owned a boat for most of his life and waterskied, fished, and enjoyed rides around the lake. Tony was an officer in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for many years and did safety patrols and boat inspections at Harveys Lake.

He taught his family how to swim, waterski, operate their boat, and fish. The family was also avid snow skiers, skiing in the Poconos and Greek Peak, NY.

Tony and Nancy lived at Harveys Lake for 23 year where they spent many wonderful days and nights on the dock, going for boat and wave runner rides, and cooking on the grill.

In June 2015, Tony and Nancy moved to Newark, DE to be near their daughter Tammy and son-in-law Mark. The past six years were filled by spending time with family, attending concerts at White Clay Creek state park, spending time with the local neighbors known as the Driveway Divas, and watching football.

Tony was a devout Catholic and was an usher and collector for many years at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at Harveys Lake.

Tony was a kind, gentle soul and a wonderful husband and father, who took care of his family throughout his life. He was always there for his wife and children, even after his children married and moved away from Wyoming Valley.

Tony is survived by his wife, Nancy (Beisel), his children Anthony III (Karen), and Tammy Feil (Mark, deceased); his grandchildren Jacqueline, Alyssa, Anthony, Jennifer; his great grandchildren Nathan, Isabella, Gisele, and Seren; his sister Sandra (Walter); nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Kosloski family would like to thank Bayada Hospice for their loving care over the past several months.
