Ann Marie Romesberg, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 22, 2022. She was born in Wilmington on May 28, 1973.
Ann was a graduate of Newark High School and attended the University of Delaware. A talented and passionate musician, she performed as lead singer for several bands, with her talent also extending to the keyboard and harmonica. When not performing, Ann supported herself and her family in various jobs including home cleaning services and waitressing. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved being with and being involved in all things family related. She was a very friendly, sociable person who would strike up a conversation with anyone.
In recent years, Ann developed an interest and talent in art. She was proud to have created many lovely paintings. Her other interests included jewelry making and bowling, and she enjoyed participating in weekly bowling leagues with her mom, having recently rolled her highest game of 240.
Ann will be dearly missed by her sons, Steven Swan (Kelly), Christian Swan and Patrick Romesberg; her grandchildren, Jackson, Ember and Levi; her mother and step-father, Kyoung and David Rizzo; her father, James Romesberg; her siblings, Rose Arendarczyk, James Romesberg Jr. (Caitie), Noelle Leung (Steve), Christine Rizzo (Sherman) and Marc Rizzo; her devoted partner, Anthony Scarangello; as well as six nieces and three nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, June 3 from 10:00-11:30AM. A remembrance service will begin at 11:30AM. Interment will be held privately.
