Ann Morehart Obituary

Ann Joyce (Lynch) Morehart, age 93, of Greenville, Delaware died peacefully on February 24, 2026 at Stonegates Health Care with her loving family at her bedside.  She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 8, 1932 to Dr. Brian Lynch, DDS and Kathryn Lynch, RN.

Ann earned an RN from Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in 1953 and a B.S. from Lycoming College, where she met her husband, Allen.  She began her teaching career at Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, PA in June, and they were married on November 23, 1957.  She joined the Williamsport Hospital Nursing Hospital Nursing Program until child bearing became their focus.

In 1962, Ann became a full-time mom and took a 13-year hiatus from her nursing career.  She returned as a school nurse for the Christina School District and accepted assignments at three district schools over a 20 year period.  In 1995, Ann was recognized by the Board of Education for her dedicated service.  She was active in three professional organizations: ANA, ASN and NEA. 

Ann is survived by her husband of 68 years, Allen Morehart; children, Mitchell Morehart (Hattaya), Gregory Morehart (partner, Danielle), Linda Durham (Jeffrey) and Lisa Bryson (Roger); daughter-in-law, Roman Morehart; brother, Thomas Lynch; adored grandchildren, Olivia and William Lundstrom, Isabelle Bryson and Maximillion Morehart; cousin, Mary Furtaw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her parents; son, Mark S. Morehart; brother, Brian and sister-in-law, Natalie; sister-in-law, Joan; parents-in-law, Albert and Evelyn Morehart; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and Clayton Weisenberger.

Funeral services for Ann will be held privately.
