Angela Santoro Boehner, 39, of Wilmington, DE, left this world on Sunday, November 14, 2021. She leaves behind her loving parents, Pete and Shelly Santoro; her brothers, Peter (Sarah) and Brian (Candice); her five beloved nephews, Matt, Joey, Lee, Ethan, and Mason – all of whom she adored; as well as her faithful dog, Zenzie, and her cat, Kayla. Countless friends from high school, college, as well as colleagues from work, will mourn her loss as well.
Angela was a scientist and was very devoted to her profession. She worked for the Christiana Care health system’s lab for the past six years after relocating back home to Delaware from Boise, ID, where she lived for seven years.
Angela was an avid sports fan. She loved tennis and was able to attend the US Open a few years ago with her Aunt Jeanne. She also loved gymnastics and trained and competed in the sport as a young girl. Angela was also a huge Eagles fan and cherished the opportunity to attend the Super Bowl parade a few years ago. She was a cheerleader and wrestling team manager throughout her 4 years at St. Mark’s High School (class of 2000), and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Delaware in 2005.
Having developed a creative side more recently, Angela really enjoyed baking goodies, and cookie and candy decorating for special occasions. She spent countless hours preparing many wonderful treats for her nephews, who loved everything she created. She also developed quite the talent for crocheting and made many gifts for family and friends over the years. Angela was deeply loved and will be terribly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
Angela’s family urges anyone suffering with mental health issues to please get the help that they need. You are not alone. Do not suffer in silence.
Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Angela’s memory to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP Delaware), PO Box 169, Annapolis, MD 21404 or to Renee’s Rescues, PO Box 1297, Hockessin, DE 19707.
Rest in Peace, Sweet Angel.
