Agnes Williamson Ignudo Obituary

Agnes Ignudo passed away surrounded by her family on March 14, 2024. Born on June 26, 1927 to Tobitha and Lonnie Goad in Dugspur, VA, she was one of 8 children. She made her way to Delaware as young adult where she met her first husband Richard Williamson. The two of them raised two children, Dale and Carol (Goddard). Agnes worked for Bell Atlantic for many years. She married her second husband Carmen in 1978.

Agnes was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She loved to quilt blankets for her family and friends. Ceramics was also a favorite pastime of hers. She will be remembered each time we pull out our vintage Christmas trees to light up for the season. Agnes also had a green thumb which resulted in beautiful gardens throughout her yard. Her gardens made lovely homes for birds which she would love to watch for hours. In her later years she took to coloring and crossword puzzles. Two things that never changed for her over the years was her love for celebrity gossip and she loved to watch the Phillies take the field. She even made her way to spring training a few times. Agnes was known for best coleslaw around!

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husbands Carmen Ignudo and Richard Williamson; her sisters Laura Olive Goad, Arneda Mesics and Bethel Goad; her brother William Ward Goad.

She is survived by her son Dale Williamson of Wilmington, her daughter Carol Goddard (Charles) of Front Royal, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Richard Goddard, Beth Kitchen, Jeffrey Williamson, Patrick Williamson and Angela Grandrino. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother Keith Goad and her sisters Sara Lou Vaughn and Rita Jean Shropshire, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately.
