William (Bill, Bob Bob) King Murray, 56, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Saturday, May 26th.
Bill, born in PA and raised in Wilmington, DE, was a loving and devoted son, father, brother, cousin, uncle, and above all else - a friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Horace E. Murray Jr, his Aunt Margaret (Peggy) Murray, his Uncle the Honorable William King, and his soulmate, Lynda Snellings. A graduate of John Dickinson High School, Bill was a self-employed plumber then spent many years dedicating his passion and love of life to being a full-time advocate for kidney disease, and organ & tissue donations with The Gift of Life, American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), National Kidney Fund (NKF), and American Kidney Fund (AKF). His family finds solace in knowing that his beautiful blue eyes were gifted to two people in need.
Bill is survived by his mother, Mary King Murray, his sister and brother in law Michelle & William Flowers, niece and Goddaughter Stephanie & niece Tiffany Flowers, step-daughter Danielle Bukowski (Aaron), grandson Emerson Bukowski, step-daughter, Jennifer Ragan (Andrew), granddaughter Willow, daughters Dominique (Bobby) States, Alexandra and Francesca Murray, granddaughters Riley, Savannah and Finley States, his brother and sister in law Allan and Linda Marroni, nieces and nephews Peter Marroni, Sheila (Dan Mys) Sciocchetti, Laurie Sciocchetti, Alana (Jeff) Kappauf, Nicki (Mike Gilbert) Marroni, Michael Marroni, Christine (Adam) Jennings, and Dominick (Gisela) Marroni. Bill is also survived by his Aunt Marie King, cousins Marie (Joseph) Wolfe, Anne (Charles) Magnant, Margaret Mary King, William A (Sarah) King III, Bridget (Gary) Crooks, Ernie (Jane) King, and Stephanie (Paul) Curcillo. He is also survived by an abundance of extended family members and very close friends.
Bill enjoyed entertaining, cooking, traveling, and cherished his time with family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Beloved, 907 Milltown Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Tuesday, June 5th at 11:00am where family and friends may call beginning at 9:30am.
