Theresa M. (Sylvester) Angeline

Theresa M. (Sylvester) Angeline, 82, of Wilmington, DE passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Theresa was born in Wilmington on December 26, 1934, daughter of the late Alexander and Eduarda (Fontana) Sylvester.  She was employed with the Division of Motor Vehicles and retired after 18 years of dedicated service.  A member of Corpus Christi Parish, she enjoyed cooking many delicious dishes, trips to Wildwood Crest and the Outer Banks, rooting for the Phillies and Eagles, and socializing with her ladies club.  In earlier years, Theresa was an avid bowler and assisted her husband’s softball team by keeping score while he played and coached.  Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Theresa will be dearly missed by her husband of 61 years, Alfred “Duke” Angeline Jr.; her sons, Mark and wife, Luci, John and wife, Cindy, Alfred “Duke” III and wife, Sue; her grandchildren, Leah (Bob), Kaci (Greg), Alexander, Alfred Paul IV, and Michael; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Parker, and Reid.  She is also survived by her brother, Harvey Petrucci and wife, Ann; her brother-in-law, Joseph Pala; her sisters-in-law, Jennie Angeline, Rena Giordano and Betty Longo; several nieces, nephews and their families. 

Theresa was predeceased by her siblings, John Sylvester and Angeline Pala.

The family would like to thank the staff of Christiana Hospital ER, Units 3E, 3D, 5A and 2A SICU, as well as the staff of Manor Care – Pike Creek for the care and compassion given to Theresa.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere on Monday, November 13 from 10:00-11:45AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM, followed by entombment in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Theresa may be made to Corpus Christi Parish, 905 New Road, Elsmere, DE 19805.
