Sharon B. (Baker) Marine

Sharon B. Marine, age 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

Born in Salisbury, MD, Sharon was the daughter of the late John W. Baker and Mae Aisquith. In earlier years, she enjoyed being a stay at home mother raising her daughters. For many years, Sharon was a preschool teacher at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church Preschool. Before retiring in 2014, Sharon was the receptionist for Dr. Wien for many years. As a natural people person, she loved interacting with the students, the patients and anyone she met.

Sharon will be remembered for her devoted love for her family. She was the “glue that held the family together.” Sharon was always there to offer her opinion, her guidance, her shoulder to cry on or to be a great shopping buddy. Many special memories will be treasured from their family vacations especially at Sharon’s favorite places of Cape May, NJ, Asheville, NC, and Maine.

In her leisure time, Sharon was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. She was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Flyers.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 46 years, James F. Marine, Jr.; her daughters, Heather N. Stirk (Jeffrey) and Jaime E. Marine; her grandchildren, Colby, Ian, Kylie and Brea Stirk; and her mother-in-law, Mildred M. Marine.
