Roy W. Sullivan, Jr.

Roy passed peacefully after a full life. He graduated from Mount Pleasant H.S. (1951) and University of Pennsylvania (1955). He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy W. Sullivan, Sr. and Sallie T. Sullivan. Roy worked in advertising/public relations more than 50 years, including at WILM (1450 AM), United Way, AB&C Advertising, Lutheran Community Services and Wilmington Parking Authority. Roy attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for 75 years. Community service included: vice president, Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council; president, Greater Wilmington Unit of American Cancer Society; and board of Wilmington Music School.

Roy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet; sister, Anne S. Foote (Grenville); son, Roy III “Trip” (Rebecca); grandsons, Jack and Levi. He is also survived by sister in law, Judy Bryant (Dan); four nieces, a nephew, a great niece, and cousins.

A service will be held on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 501 Duncan Road, Wilmington 19809. Family will receive guests from 10am-11am, with service at 11am. Burial will be private.
