Oh so many memories of Fr. Storck ! I was a teenager at CCHS when Fr. Storck became my Religion teacher. He quickly became friends with my family and was always on the "A" list of guests for dinner, picnics, baptisms, first communions, first confessions, marriages and funerals for my family.
Fr. loved to travel and visited many, many places and was chaplain on several cruises. I was an avid photographer and would visit him at the rectory to see all his wonderful pictures.
He officiated at my wedding in 1970 and my husband's funeral in 2012. During all those years, Fr. and I would once a year celebrate our birthdays as they were only 2 days apart. The rest of the time he would meet my husband and me at varied restaurants as we all loved to eat out........ So many memories.....
In the early years of Fr.'s time at Corpus Christi, he had a cute little cabin at the shore in Maryland. My family and I had several trips there ( he cooked a mean hot dog and hamburg) and he would take us out on his boat. We visited him at his condo on Broom St..a couple of times and he inherited my husband's recliner in 2012.
Fr. Storck had a little altar in his condo where he said Mass every day of his life. He also helped out at several different parishes in the diocese.
He had many mantras: "You have to keep moving. You can't sit and do nothing." Hence his starting the nursing home ministry when he "retired". It's all about the people. If you can't talk and get to know someone you might as well be dead" . Hence his many cruises as chaplain and his acceptance of joining people for so many lunches or dinners. Oh how he talked about all the people he met on these cruises and all the wonderful people in the nursing homes (of course they always asked him to stay for lunch and he happily accepted ). And last but not least, his favorite mantra " Peace, Joy, and Happiness.......Always." That was what Fr. Hopkins said in his eulogy at Father's Mass and it's how Fr. Storck signed ALL his birthday and Christmas cards to me and everyone else.
Fr. Storck was truly a Priest's Priest.
I miss him terribly.

Till we meet again, rest in the peace and love of our Lord and Savior. You SO DESERVE it.

What a very, very nice man with a great sense of humor. He was a friend to the Querey families. Even when he struggled with his own health later in life he always answered the call whether to offer counsel to a grieving spouse or to administer last rites to an old friend. Thank you Fr. Storck for your generosity of soul and spirit. May you find rest. God bless. Kathy "Querey" Davis

I am a graduate of Corpus Christi High School and have fond memories of Fr. Storck. Most of the memories involve my encounters with him later in life. Since I am a nurse, and worked for the State, I met him many times in the nursing homes in the Wilmington area. He was so devoted to the seniors and they loved his visits. Fr. always made each person feel special when he talked with them. Fr. Storck was very attentive to my own father in a nursing home in his later years. He found a way to continued his ministry even when he had to retire from the active priesthood. He actually approached the Bishop, created and asked for the nursing home ministry
position. Father will surely be missed. I sincerely hope he is now enjoying his eternal reward. God bless you Father Storck. I thank God that you were part of my life.

Father Storck - you were the best. From my days as a student at Corpus Christi and later when I was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena, you always had a kind word for me and my family. Years later, whenever we had the good fortune to cross paths you always remembered me and you always had good, positive things to say. Rest in peace my friend, thanks for your great influence and Semper Fi!

Father Storck was a true friend to our family for many years. He joined our table every St. Patty's Day at the Irish Culture Club for well over 20 years and, among other things, we loved to hear the stories of the many cruises he had been on during his life. Father loved people and loved life and enjoyed making the most of every moment !!. He was very devoted to my father, Jim Patton, during his battle with dementia and was a calming influence through our tough times. Father encouraged and inspired me to marry again in the Catholic church and I was looking forward to his attendance and blessing at my upcoming wedding, but now I am comforted to know that he is with Dad in heaven. I am happy he enjoyed a wonderful life but I will miss him and greatly appreciate his guidance throughout my life. Kathy (Patton) Cowan

What a wonderful person! The world will not be the same without Father Storck! My family and I have had the pleasure to know Father Storck since 1960. He trained me as an altar boy, got me my first job, and remained a great friend these many years! My sister Debbie and I attended Corpus Christi High School where Fr. Storck was our principal and teacher. Debbie will be greeting him in heaven. He officiated at the weddings of my sisters Debbie and Eileen and baptised some of the ten of us. He and my parents and my Aunt Dolores and Uncle Johnny Ragazzo were friends for decades! Father Storck was such a pleasure to know! I will remember him always! My deepest sympathy and blessings to his family. John P. Naughton
