Nicholas Golden, age 23, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 31, 2019.
He was born in Newark, son of Gary and Erleen (Goff) Golden. Nick was a graduate of William Penn High School where he played lacrosse and was involved with ROTC. After his graduation, he enlisted with the Delaware Air National Guard. He was also a volunteer firefighter, serving 6 years in Odessa and most recently, the last 6 months in Indian River. He enjoyed listening to music from local, live bands.
He will be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother and friend, who would always put others’ needs before his own. Nick touched countless lives and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he lives on through his brothers, Tom Golden, Scott Gayheart, Andrew Segner, and Alex Golden and their significant others Stephanie Golden, Michelle Gayheart, Sarah Agnew, and Maria Riley; his grandparents, Linda and Earl Goff, and Jeannine (Ginger) Glynn; his nieces, Jordyn and Bailey Gayheart; his nephews, Nathan, Carter and Jaxson Golden; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, members of his extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 2:00pm. Interment will be private.
