Myrtle peacefully went to the Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. She was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on November 11, 1928 to the late Troy and Luna (Greer) Ham. On February 19, 1975, Myrtle married the love of her life, her beloved husband Angelo J. Paoletti, who sadly predeceased her on May 6, 2017.
A talented seamstress, Myrtle was employed with Webb’s Cleaners. She enjoyed sewing, traveling with her beloved Angelo, and returning to her native North Carolina for family reunions. She loved to entertain and create lavish meals for family and friends, especially on holidays and special occasions. She and Angelo were avid Elvis Presley fans, having enjoyed many trips to Graceland.
Myrtle is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Maryann Daemer; her sisters, Ann Sanders and Earsie Rolland; her brothers, J.B. Ham (Beryl) and June Ham (Helen). In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Louise McDowell (Mike); her brothers-in-law, Jim and Joe Paoletti; a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, May 22 from 10:00-11:00AM. A Catholic funeral service will begin at 11:00AM, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
