Michael S. Blumenfeld, age 59, of Newark, DE lost his extremely courageous battle with neuroendocrine cancer on Sunday, August 4, 2019. He was surrounded by an abundance of love.
Mike enjoyed fishing, great vacations with his family and spending time outside in the backyard, where he and his wife, Tracy, hosted countless parties and Sunday’s with their family and friends. He cherished the days spent with his grandson, whom he passed down his love of life and sense of humor.
Mike was a graduate of Livingston High School (‘77) in Livingston, NJ and University of Delaware (‘81). He enjoyed working and his co-workers at PMI in Newtown Square, PA.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Tracy (Brooks) Blumenfeld, daughters, Jen Hiester (Joe), Kasey Samluk (Ryan) and Marci Agnew (Mark), grandson, Easton, granddaughter-on-the-way Baby Agnew, mother, Barbara Tutin Blumenfeld, brother, Steven Blumenfeld (Hope) and sister Susan Sanders (George). He was predeceased by his father Martin Blumenfeld.
Friends may visit with his family on Friday, August 9 from 9:30-11:30 am at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek where a Celebration of life will follow at 11:30. Burial will be private.
