I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Shavack growing up near St. Elizabeth's, and also being a friend of her son, Neal. Mrs. Shavack was one of the kindest, generous, and most caring people I can remember. She was always so gracious to me, when I visited her home. She always made sure I had a cool drink (remember this distinctly) and also made sure I had a ride home, even though I was only several blocks away from her home. I am so sorry to hear of her passing ! She was a treasure, and I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing her in my lifetime !

I am so sorry to read of your mom's passing. Your mom was always like a second mom to me. My mom and your mom were the best of friends and shared alot of happy and sad times together and were the true meaning of friends. Now they are back together. Please take comfort in knowing all your mom's suffering and pain is gone but she will always be there with you.

To Mary Ann's family...My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Mary Ann and Neal were like family to us growing up in Cleland Heights and St. Elizabeth parish. I will always remember her for her sweetness and humor...she was a dear friend to my Mom, Sandy Ignudo, for many, many years. Please accept my heartfelt condolences, and God bless all of you.
