Mary Lou was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Mary Lou (Nan) was a retired book keeper who loved spending time perfecting her high average bowling and teaching line dancing at the Claymore Center. She loved all things Disney, enjoyed the sunshine, and gardening.
Mrs. Ruggiero was predeceased by her mother and father, Ella and Ernest Ackerman; four sisters; her devoted husband of 64 years, Joseph L. Ruggiero Sr.; her son, Thomas Ruggiero; her granddaughter, Chelsea Ruggiero.
Mrs. Ruggiero is survived by her loving son, Joseph L. Ruggiero Jr. and his wife, Tina; daughter-in-law, Christine Ruggiero; three grandchildren, Luke Ruggiero (Catie), Amanda Schauer (Patrick), and Christopher Ruggiero; and the lights of her life, her great grandchildren, Logan and Harper In addition, she is survived by her sister, Claire Deptula (William); many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Shipley and Weldin Roads, Wilmington on Friday, September 21 from 10:00-11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment will be held privately.
