Margaret “Margie” D. Licurgo, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2019.
Born and raised in West Hazleton, PA, Margie was the daughter of the late George Joseph and Margaret I. (Drosdick) Dusheck. She was a graduate of West Hazelton High School, as well as Business School. In earlier years, Margie was a secretary at Caterpillar Tractor while living in York, PA.
Once she married the love of her life, John “Jack” Licurgo, Margie’s life revolved around being a loving wife and homemaker for Jack. After Jack was stricken with Multiple Sclerosis, Margie became a devoted caregiver for her husband. Until his death, she lovingly cared for him in their home for over 30 years. In her leisure time, Margie enjoyed listening to the radio and loved debating with others about politics.
In addition to her parents, Margie was predeceased by her beloved husband, John “Jack” L. Licurgo; her brother, Thomas Dusheck and and his wife Marie; her brother, George Dusheck; and her sister, Dolores Maddon and brother-in-law, Vincent Maddon. She is survived by her brother, David A. Dusheck and his wife, Nancy of Hazleton, PA; her sister-in-law, Jean Dusheck of New Jersey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Tuesday, February 19 at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. A chapel committal service and entombment will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 20 at Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Highway, Drums, PA 18222.
