Lena Graham

Lena Graham, formerly of Newark, DE passed away peacefully at Caraway Manor Assisted Living in Elkton, MD on January 7th, 2019.

 She is survived by her sons, Tom and his wife, Maureen of Elkton, Bob of Elkton and Frank and his wife, Priscilla of Landenberg, PA.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexander and Abigail and her brother, Ralph in Georgia.

She lived in Newark most of her life but was originally from Virginia. She was employed by the Newark Department Store and later by the Christina School District from which she retired in 1994. She enjoyed classical music and was a frequent attendee of the Newark Symphony Orchestra concerts. She attended Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Newark since 1963 and for a few years enjoyed tutoring children in local elementary schools after her retirement. We thank the good people of Laurelwood Nursing Home, Caraway Manor and Hospice for the exceptional care they provided these last several years.  

Graveside services will be private. If you wish, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice in her name.
