John W. Jones

John “JJ” Jones, age 96, passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. John was born in New York and grew up in West Grove, Pennsylvania.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his service, he worked as a drywall finisher with Beatty Construction until he retired at the age of 81.

John enjoyed classic cars, country music, telling stories and spending time with his family.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and cherished friend to many.

John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pauline Jones, his daughters Beth (Dominick) and Faith (Rich) of Newark, Delaware, and his sons John (Connie) of Santa Clarita, California, and David (Karen) of West Chester, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren Maria, Matthew, Daniel, Heather, Kyle, Allison, Lauren, and Brooke; and five great-grandchildren.

John was a kind and humble man who kept his positivity and politeness even when his health declined.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to Easterseals In-Home Services and Seasons Hospice for their care and comfort in the last year.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
