Jeremy Pierce Obituary

Jeremy Edward Pierce, age 32, most recently from Palm Beach, FL, and formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020.

He attended St. Matthew’s School and studied culinary arts at Del-Tech. In pursuit of his passion for diverse and eclectic cuisine, Jeremy was working as a cook at the Palm Beach Zoo. He also worked with Absolute Hardwood Flooring, where he crafted and installed custom hardwood floors. 

Jeremy had a love for animals, especially cats, and would often befriend strays. He truly  enjoyed the natural beauty and wildlife of Southern Florida and was looking forward to making it his home. His unique outlook and approach to attaining his goals will never be forgotten by those  who love him.             

He is survived by his parents, Rickey and Debra (Kowalczyk) Pierce; his brother, Rickey, Jr. (Melanie Fisher); and his uncles, Edward and David Kowalczyk, and Randy Pierce. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Wilmington, DE 19805. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Forgotten Cats, Inc., 4023 Kennett Pike, Suite 422, Greenville, DE 19807.
