James J. (Nip) Burns

James J. Burns, (Nip), age 82, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 of Congestive Heart Failure.

Jim is survived by his wife, Mary, his sons, Robert and James, his sister, Cookie, his 5 grandchildren, Robbie, Mikey, Jenny, Laura and Danielle.  He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Danielle and watching her play softball.

Friends may visit with his family from 10 am-11:30 am on Thursday, August 16 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, where a service will follow at 11:30. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Ave., Wilmington.
