James P. Walsh

James Patrick Walsh (Jubb) passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born in Wilmington, DE, on March 23, 1957 to the late Martin J. Walsh, Jr., and Margaret (Hayden) Walsh.

James graduated from St. Elizabeth grade school and St. Marks High School. James retired from Forbes Steel and previously had been employed for a trucking company. James enjoyed sports, but most of all, he was a die-hard Notre Dame fan. Everyone who knew Jim knew he was a remarkably caring man.

Jim’s legacy will live on through those dearest to him. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his brother Timothy Walsh. He is survived by his sister Patricia Zink (Laren), Gerald C. Walsh of Wilmington, and Martin J. Walsh III, of VA. He is also survived by his two beautiful nieces, Krista Crumlish (Brian) and Kaetlin Zink, whom he loved dearly and was very close with.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00am at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road. Visitation for James will be at the funeral home starting at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow at the Cathedral Cemetery.
