James R. Jones, Jr., of Newark, DE, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 with his family by his side.

“Jim” was born June 2, 1946 in Philadelphia to the late James R. Jones, Sr. and Emma E. Jones. Jim is a veteran of the Vietnam War and, upon his discharge, he attended college and graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Jim worked at DuPont for 26 years in the ISD and Engineering Depts. He then worked 16 years as an IT executive in marketing.

He is survived by Diane M. Jones of Maine, his son James R. Jones, III of Landenberg, PA, his daughter Candice M. Aliberti of St. Albans, ME, his sister Kay A. Gellien of Newark, DE, and his seven grandchildren: Cain M. Davis, Charles P. Pinkerton, James R. Jones, IV, Emma E. Jones, Stanley R. Jones, Beneda D. Aliberti, and Maggie Mae E. Aliberti.
