Helen M. Lee, 68, from Wilmington DE, passed away on the morning of September 3, 2018. Helen was a long time resident of Wilmington, however she spent the last 6 years in Huntington Beach, CA to be close to her only son and his family.
Helen was born July 7, 1950 to James and Jean Lee of Wilmington DE. She grew up in Union Park Gardens, attended St. Thomas the Apostle School, and Corpus Christi High School.
Helen was known for her charismatic personality with an impressive sense of fashion. She was a successful business woman, outstanding single mother, and even more incredible grandmother. She touched the lives and hearts of so many people she met. Helen’s greatest joy was her family. She loved holidays and any celebration that brought about the gathering of family and friends.
Helen is survived by her loving son, Jonathan Moore and his wife, Jaimie; and the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Jessica, Justice, and Jackson. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Jimmy Lee; her sister, Patricia Vintigni; her nieces and nephews; and her many, many friends.
The family would like to thank their entire village, particularly the SFGs, for their love and support throughout this difficult time.
Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th Street and Bancroft Parkway, Wilmington, DE 19805 on Saturday, September 29 from 11:00AM-12:00PM. A Mass in Celebration of Helen’s life will be celebrated at 12:00PM.
