Helen A. (DiAngelis) Brooks

Helen A. Brooks, age 89, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 7, 2018.

She was born in Chester, PA, daughter of the late Audis and Angeline (Codelis) DiAngelis.

In addition to raising her family, Helen worked at the University of Delaware for over 25 years and in her free time enjoyed needlework.

She is survived by her daughters, Angeline Wesseler (Whitey), Barbara Shiles (Dale), Joanne Brooks (Martin Kris), and Edwina Kenney (John); her son, Edward Brooks (Mary); her grandchildren, Annette Brinkman Harling, Robert Brinkman, Vicki Feehery (Sean), Mike Scott (Louise), Caitlin Kenney, John Kenney III, Krista Brooks, and Eddie Brooks; and her great-grandchildren, Luke Brinkman, Taylor Brinkman, Will Harling, Shane Feehery, Connor Feehery, Marritt Scott, Maya Scott, Mason Scott, Cameron Ford; and her Goddaughter, Dianna DiAngelis.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and her siblings, Josephine, Mary, Grace, Tony, Frank and Chip.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be held in All Saints Cemetery.
