Glen “Rod” Hampton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah; his daughter, Julie and her significant other, Russell Biddle and the apple of everyone’s eye grandson, Rusty.
Survivors also include his sister in law, Elaine K Hampton, his nephew, Scott Hampton and wife, Susie and their children, Kaeden, Kieran and Kyle. His parents Julian and Alice and his brother Al preceded Rod in death.
Rod graduated from Conrad High School and attended the University of Delaware. He was a professional photographer for over 40 years learned while serving his country in the military. An innovator in the Macintosh technology, Rod was the first to print Macintosh files to a slide printer in this area. He was a founding partner of Britannia.com, an early online magazine formed in 1996 which focused on all things British. He turned to art photography and hiking in recent years and traveled extensively through the west and southwest with his wife Debbie.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13 at Sycamore Hill Church, 505 Schoolhouse Road, Hockessin, DE 19707 at 11:00 A.M. Prior to the service, friends are welcome to visit with the family starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
