Georgia Blackwell Obituary

Georgia R. Blackwell passed peacefully away at the age of 86 on Friday June 8, 2018 in Bethlehem, PA in the presence of family and friends who loved her. She will be missed immensely.

Georgia was born on September 8, 1931 and raised in Ghent, W. Va. She and her husband Claude (deceased 7/2/2009) settled and raised their family in Wilmington, Delaware. She was most recently residing in Bath, Pa.  She worked for many years at Pantry Pride, Thriftway and Hallmark where she was able to feed her love of Yankee Candles. Not only was she the world’s best cook but also a wonderful loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and Mom-Mom.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Blackwell; Tim Garvey-Blackwell and wife, Jennifer Garvey-Blackwell; grandchildren, Mark and Mariah Blackwell; Olivia, Bennet, and Cooper Garvey-Blackwell; her sister, Linda Snuffer; her brother, Jimmy Sweeney.

Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
