George C. Wallace

George C. Wallace, age 87, of Newark, DE passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018.

George lived life enjoying gardening, following the Phillies, watching horse racing and spending time with his family. He was also an army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his children, Karen Klein, Sharon Wallace, Michael Wallace (Rose), Diane Knight, Nadine Gold (Jim), David Wallace (Sigrid), Kevin Wallace (Shawn), Marlene Wade (Bob) and Darlene Halsey; 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Daniels and brothers, Richard and Marvin Wallace.  He was predeceased by Janet Wallace, his grandson, Kevin Wallace and his sister, Jane Durham

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 24 at 11 am at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 23 from 5-7 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek.
