Emily Jane Manna Kauffman, 73, of Wilmington, Delaware was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Jane, as she was called by her family and friends, was an incredibly loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her greatest joys in life were to be surrounded by family and friends, serving her church, and praying for and sharing her faith with not only her local community, but those all over the world.
The daughter of Leo and Emily Manna of Chester, Pennsylvania, Jane graduated in 1962 from Chester High School. She was an active member of Trainer United Methodist Church in Trainer, Pennsylvania for many years, where she sang in the choir and was a friend to all. She later became a member of the Wilmington Church of the Brethren, where she devoted the remainder of her life to nurturing others and surrounding them with God’s love.
Jane is survived by her two sisters, Carol Broadway (Robert) and Joan Upchurch (Larry); her two children: son, Steven Kauffman and daughter, Heather Fisher (Randy); her five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lively (Travis), Benjamin Fisher and Daniel Fisher, Brett Kauffman and Brittany Kauffman; her great granddaughter, Madelyn Fisher, and two expected great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Richardson Park United Methodist Church, 11 N. Maryland Avenue, Wilmington on Saturday, September 8 from 9:00-10:30AM. A celebration of life service will begin at 10:30AM, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jane may be made to World Vision, PO Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063 (www.worldvision.org).
