Dolores "Dolly" F. (Matyniak) Long

Dolores F. “Dolly” Long, age 86, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11. 2018. Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Gawronski) Matyniak.

Family was the center of Dolly’s world. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a doting Mommom to her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Dolly loved doing endless activities of fun with them.

Dolly is survived by her husband of 65 years, John “Jack” Long; her daughters, Suzanne J. Stellfox (Jeff) and Nadine M. Jaquette; her grandchildren, Michael Long, Jeffrey Stellfox and Andrew Stellfox; her great-grandchildren, Dustin and Nathan Long and Phoenix Stellfox; and her sisters, Helen Gawinski and Bernice Pemar (Richard). She was predeceased by her parents; her son, David J. Long; her daughter, Jacqueline Long; her granddaughter, Kelly Stellfox; and her sister, Frances Miklasiewicz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 15 at St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilmington, DE 19805, where family and friends may visit beginning at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
