Just wanted to ad how saddened I was at Dallas passing He did great things as Cubs GM and I regret writing to criticize the trade he made to bring Rick Sutcliffe and his almost unbeaten 1984 season to the Cubs Far from his reputation as a hothead he gave me a very understanding and polite response which was amazing in itself I'm sorry for your loss

Sylvia, we want you to know how sorry we were to hear that Dallas died. Please convey our regrets to your children. He was a big man with a booming voice and hearty laugh. Please take some solace in knowing that he will be coaching and cheering on some more great teams in Heaven!

To the Family of Dallas Green. Wanted to offer you our deepest sympathy for your loss. We hope you find comfort in your memories of him. Dallas was so kind to us when we were purchasing his Mom"s house on East Newport Pike in Newport. We spent 23 years there and always boasted that Dallas Green grew up there. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Carol, Im Virginia Cooke Marks daughter. My mom grew up in newport. She knew you, Dallas and Thema and your parents. We visited Miss Thelma home over the years. Mom followed Dallas throughout his career.
We loss mom this pass August. She was 99 half and still getting around. Your family has our condolences.
