Christine F. (Fritz) Walsh

Christine F. Walsh, 72, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.

Christine was born in Upland, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1946, daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa (Inge) Fritz.  A graduate of Chichester High School, she was employed with Wilmington Trust Corporation and retired after 42 years of dedicated service.  She was a member of the Delaware Republican Women’s Club.  Christine was an avid gardener and was meticulous in the appearance of her home as well as herself.  She loved children, especially babies, and was always concerned with the wellbeing of her family.

Her husband, Bernard F. Walsh, Jr., passed away on June 18, 2004.  She was also predeceased by her step-son, Bernard F. Walsh, III.

Christine is survived by her sister, Theresa Payne; her nieces, Megan Spencer and Nicole Nolecek; her great nephews, Kellan, Landon, and Madden Spencer; her step-children, Jean McCormick, Ashley Francica, and Michael McBride; her grandchildren, Carly McBride, Claudia, Claire and Chloe McCormick, Gabriel and Lucas Francica.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Monday, December 17 from 9:30-11:00AM.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
