Message from Henry S "TIM" Clark III
January 9, 2018 11:03 AM

As the son of a Thoroughbred Racing trainer, I met Charlie many, many years ago at Saratoga and continued a friendship through NSA and Fair Hill International and into his "retirement" although Charlie was, like my father, never one to really retire.
I so enjoyed his stories and reflections about so many, many people from the racing world.
I was very lucky to have been able to enjoy his friendship, knowledge and especially his humor- a true Irish Horseman
Charlie now enjoys reunion with so many other horsemen who have preceded him into God's embrace.
Had it not been for having the Flu, I would have been at the funeral.
God Speed, Charlie

My sympathies to Charlie's family and friends. He was a man of intelligence, kindness, and integrity, much needed in our sport. Rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies to your family. Charlie was the kindest, calmest man I ever had the pleasure of working for (at Fair Hill International). I shall miss him.
