Caroline Peart Obituary

Caroline Elizabeth Mace Peart was called home to the Lord on October 18, 2018 in the presence of her loving husband. During this long process, Carol received strong love and support from her entire family. Life has changed-not ended.

Born in West Grove, PA on December 5, 1937, Carol was the daughter of the late John Logan and Margaret Mary (Quinn) Mace. She retired from the engineering department at Delmarva Power in 1993.

Carol most enjoyed spending time with her family, playing golf, the Phillies and playing Texas Hold’em with her friends in Ocean City, Maryland.

Carol is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert W. Peart, Jr.; her daughters, Susan Lobue (Thomas), Theresa Marie Schultz (Paul); her son, Robert W. Peart, III (Suzanne); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Stefanie, Kyle, Ashley, Kristin, Daniel, and Robert; her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Bennett, Camryn, Chase, and McKenna; her brother, John Mace; and her two special dogs, Mimi and Max. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard Hugh Mace; and her sister, Joyce Ann Mace. We would really like to thank Compassionate Care for all they have done for Carol, especially Tracey who became a good friend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 26 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 AM. Interment will follow Mass at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carol’s favorite charity, Smiletrain.org.
