Anna K. (Kirk) Harrold

Anna Kirk Harrold passed away unexpectedly at the age of 90 on Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Anna was born in Wilmington on July 23, 1927, daughter of the late Charles Henry and Anna (Flaherty) Kirk.  She attended Goldey-Beacom College and began her secretarial career with TWA.  She later became an executive secretary with Hercules and retired in 1986.  Anna enjoyed ceramics, dining out, shopping and relaxing at the beach.  Her greatest joy was being with her family, having been especially devoted to her grandchildren.

Anna is survived by her husband of 66 years, James L. Harrold; her daughters, Teresa Morgan (Frank) and Carol Harrold (Carolyn Mansk); her son, James Harrold; her beloved grandchildren, Scott, William, Matt, Stephanie, Keith, Daniel, Jordan, Joel, Kenna, Chris, Maxwell, Johnny and Chuck; her many great grandchildren. 

Sadly, Anna was predeceased by her son, William “Bill” Harrold; her daughter, Florence Kathryn Richardson; her grandson, James.

Friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 1900 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington on Tuesday, June 12 from 10:00-11:00AM.   A Catholic funeral service will begin at 11:00AM, followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
