Andrea V. (Whitehouse) Cramphorn

Andrea V. Cramphorn, age 54, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2017 with her loving family by her side after a long struggle with illness through the years.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Andrea was the daughter of the late William W. and Dolores Whitehouse. After getting married, she and her husband, Ed, raised their children in Delaware County. Andrea enjoyed being a stay at home mom while her children were young. Later, she had been a teacher’s aide at Academy Park High School in Sharon Hill. After her children were grown, Andrea and Ed achieved their longtime goal of moving to Delaware in 2011.

Andrea was an animal lover and especially loved her beloved Yorkie dogs. She had an amazing green thumb and loved tending to her many house plants.

Andrea will be remembered for her kind heart, as she always cared for everyone before herself, as well as her wonderful sense of humor.

Andrea is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Edwin A. Cramphorn; her daughter, Lauren Cramphorn; her son, Joseph Cramphorn; her sister, Victoria Fox (Joe); her brothers, William Whitehouse, Christopher Whitehouse and Daniel Whitehouse (Diane); many nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Scoochy.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, February 16 from 5 to 7 PM and on Friday, February 17 from 10 to 11 AM at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A Celebration of Andrea’s Life will be held on Friday, February 17 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
